Many women report struggling feeding their babies and research shows that 8 out of 10 women report that they stop breastfeeding before they are ready. Qualified support and empowering women with evidenced based information is crucial to getting breastfeeding off to the best possible start.
I am a Breastfeeding Counsellor who has been trained to degree level and I am happy to support you in achieving your breastfeeding goals. I have been trained in all aspects of infant feeding and am able to offer you and your family personalised care and support in any way you choose. All the information I will share with you is accurate, evidence based and up to date. With this information, my extensive training and my years of experience I am able to offer care and support to mothers and their families.
I can offer antenatal support which includes a 1:1 session before you have your baby which includes information on what to expect, establishing breastfeeding, common challenges, how to know when feeding is going well and what to do when it is not and how you can be supported.
I offer postnatal breastfeeding sessions either in the comfort of your own home or via zoom. An initial face to face session would last around 1.5 hours and would cover any aspect of feeding you would like to explore further. I am able to fully support you to achieve your breastfeeding goals by observing you feeding, offering suggestions for positions and signposting you to evidence based resources and services discussing and trouble shooting any issues or concerns you are experiencing such as tongue tie or mastitis . Whether you choose sessions over zoom or in person I am happy to support you at a time that suits you, my prices don’t change for evening or weekend sessions.
Any subsequent sessions could be arranged at any time suited to you and your family.
All sessions would include text/email support before and after your sessions as required.
I hold full insurance, an advanced DBS certificate and follow Covid guidelines for safe face to face practise
